Fifth Grade Weekly Newsletter #17
January 4, 2010 to January 8, 2010
Hello Fifth Grade Families!
I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and an awesome start to 2010! It’s nice to see everyone again after the break!
Just a reminder to please check with your child regarding school supplies; some of the supplies may need replenishing at this point, such as notebooks, pencils, and coloring materials.
Please note the following:
- Book report project for Hatchet due Wednesday, January 20, 2009. Please see handout for choices.
- Poetry Unit for the next 2 weeks. It would be a good idea to go to the library and check out some poetry books and/or go the internet to do some research about different kinds of poetry. Here are some sites:

- Since it’s the beginning of the month, we will be switching seats again. It is also a good idea to clean out folders and backpacks at home.
